We Look Forward to Seeing You!

We know that many guests are probably ready to get out of the house and enjoy a change of scenery! We have been working hard to prepare for our reopening, and wanted to post some important updates due to COVID-19:

Local Businesses

While local businesses are opening back up, many are opening in a controlled manner and some may not open at all. Please be advised that we have no control of which businesses will be open or the way they operate if they are open. Many restaurants are offering carryout service and some are offering indoor seating with a reduced capacity due to state guidelines. Click below for restaurants offering carryout and delivery:

New Check-In & Check-Out Times

We have revised check-in and check-out times to meet CDC guidelines for cleaning the units. Check-in is now at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please understand that we may need until 6:00 p.m. to clean units. Check-out is now at 10:00 a.m. It is extremely important for us to have this additional time to clean your unit and ensure it is safe for your stay.

Cleaning & Maintenance

We have new cleaning protocols in order to keep you and our staff safe. We suggest guests bring their own PPE & cleaning supplies with them for their use during their stay. We are here for any maintenance issues you may have during your stay. We ask that you call the office and they will arrange for maintenance personnel to address the issue while you are out of the unit to keep you and our staff safe.

We ask for your cooperation as we work to ensure that we keep everyone safe. Still haven’t booked your Eastern Shore vacation?  Browse our inventory of beautiful rental properties today.

Eastern Shore Vacations Office Closed through May 31st

Our Remote Staff is Here to Assist You

In an effort to keep our clients and team members safe – and to do our part in “flattening the curve” – our Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals office in Easton, MD, will be closed through May, 31, 2020.  During this time, we will have staff working remotely to assist our guests and property owners.  We are closely following this situation and relying heavily on the direction of state and local officials.  Our hope is that these measures will bring about a swift end to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) so that we can begin welcoming guests again soon.  For assistance, please call (410) 770-9093.

Community Responsibility Statement

We take our responsibility to our local community and its residents very seriously.  We understand that we provide a great deal of commerce to the small businesses in the community and take pride in feeding the economy.

These businesses have suffered during this difficult time. Now more than ever, we feel a responsibility to help local businesses regain some traction in the market.  With so many annual events cancelling or postponing, we know it will not be business as usual this summer for us and for our fellow business owners in the community.

However, we are ready to help bring visitors to the area and in turn commerce to local businesses.  We accept the responsibility of helping our local economy and doing so safely.  In the wake of COVID-19, we’re taking the following measures to ensure we are protecting our community:

  1. We will encourage guests to use local delivery resources for groceries and any other essentials.
  2. We will encourage our guests to purchase from local businesses, while maintaining social distancing and/or taking advantage of modified services from restaurants, cafes, eateries, etc.
  3. We will encourage our guests to come prepared with the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and/or providing the essentials for them.
  4. We are modifying check-in and check-out hours to allow for an extended, CDC-compliant cleaning that will take greater than 33% more time.
  5. We are working with vendors (and, in compliance with CDC guidelines) for the latest cleaning tools and supplies.
  6. Our guests will each sign a waiver that they understand and agree to abide with local distancing rules; that they haven’t demonstrated symptoms for 14 days, and if they display symptoms, they will shelter-in-place immediately.

The safety of residents and guests, as well as the financial recovery of the community, is important to us. We are in this together.

Cleaning Protocols and Guest Safety

Your safety is our top concern.  Vantage Vacation Rentals is following CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfection in order to provide you with the safest property possible.  We have given general guidelines to all cleaning staff on which chemicals to use in cleaning, PPE equipment they should use in their cleaning process, as well as what and how to clean the units.  For details, see the Cleaning Protocols we have put in place.

We believe the steps we are taking with respect to policy communication and standards are the right thing for you, as our guests, and we want to ensure your continued trust and faith in Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals for future stays. This is a fluid set of circumstances and we will continue to keep you updated as this situation evolves.  Please contact your Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals representative if you have any questions or concerns.

On February 20, dog owners across the country celebrated their furry, four-legged friends for National Love Your Pet Day. Now, show your adoration by booking a dog-friendly family vacation for the summer on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals (ESVR) has more than 50 fantastic properties, and most of them welcome dogs—with no extra fees! Choose from majestic waterfront estates to quaint historic cottages in charming towns such as Oxford, Cambridge, Annapolis, St. Michaels and Chestertown.

You’ll love the dazzling sunsets, delicious seafood and slow pace of relaxing days. And your dog will love splashing around at the local beaches and playing fetch in the green, open spaces.

Maryland’s Eastern Shore is dog country, so you’ll find plenty of places to visit and things to do together.

Tail-wagging fun for all

If you’re heading to the Eastern Shore from the west, take a break at Matapeake Park Dog Beach. It’s your first exit off the Bay Bridge. Set out through the winding woodsy trail that leads to the dog beach on the sandy banks of the Chesapeake.

Down south a bit in Crisfield, you and your pups can climb into a kayak and explore more than 30 miles of water trails and secluded beaches of Janes Island State Park

In St. Michaels, your dog is welcome aboard the Patriot Boat Cruise, which tours this historic town by water. While you’re there, be sure to check out the dog-friendly Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum next door. Located along 18 waterfront acres, the museum features a working boatyard where you can see the restoration of traditional Chesapeake Bay vessels.

If you’re spending time in Oxford, and you should, grab a bite at Capsize, a waterfront locals’ favorite where dogs can get cool water and lounge on the outdoor deck. Snappers Waterfront Café and Tiki Bar in Cambridge keeps you in the vacation mindset with a dog-friendly deck, delicious Maryland lump crab cakes and Caribbean-style cocktails.
