Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Inspector to join our Vacation Rental Management team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, safety, and readiness of our rental properties for guest arrivals and owner satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, comfortable with minor maintenance, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily and weekly reservation reports to identify and plan operational needs.
- Conduct thorough Pre-Season and Post-Season property inspections.
- Oversee the guest inspection process, ensuring all inspections are performed accurately and timely.
- Document inspection findings with clear and detailed photos.
- Confirm the completion of housekeeping, maintenance, and vendor services before releasing properties for guest check-in.
- Manage mid-week trash pickup processes, ensuring all properties meet cleanliness standards.
- Identify and report recurring property issues and maintenance trends.
- Proactively spot potential property concerns and collaborate with the Owner Relations team to address them early.
- Triage and prioritize property maintenance issues, ensuring quick resolution.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb replacements, minor repairs) when needed.
- Utilize property management software to update, track, and close out inspection and maintenance tasks.
- Reliable personal transportation is required; a truck is preferred due to the nature of transporting supplies and minor equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property inspections, hospitality, maintenance, or vacation rental operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and property management software.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic property maintenance issues.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, carry light equipment, and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
